Volunteer Overview

The DARTS program has a long and proud tradition in the Delaware community. Our success depends on parent volunteers to help run meets and events. It’s a fun, supportive team environment—and we truly can’t do it without you!

Volunteers Needed Per Meet

  • Home GCSL (Wed. evening): 27 volunteers

  • Away GCSL (Wed. evening): 16 volunteers

  • Home SL (Sat. morning): 20 volunteers

  • Away SL (Sat. morning): 14 volunteers

Volunteer roles vary and include timers, concession workers, and event support. Volunteers must be 16 or older. No experience needed—training and support are provided.

Family Volunteer Policy

Each DARTS family must complete 3 volunteer tasks per season or pay a fee:

  • 2 of 3 completed: $66

  • 1 of 3 completed: $132

  • 0 of 3 completed: $200

💵 Payment due by July 30 (Venmo, cash, or check payable to DART Stingrays Inc.)

⚠️ Families with unpaid fees after July 30 cannot register for the next season until payment is received.

Buy-Out Option

Families may opt out of volunteering by paying a $200 buy-out fee by June 15. This ensures you will not be contacted for volunteer duties during the season.

How to Sign Up

Volunteer signups are managed through a Google Spreadsheet, emailed weekly to registered families. Instructions are located on the first tab.

Concession Donations

Concessions are a major fundraiser, and donations are appreciated.
📌 Donations do not count toward the 3 required volunteer tasks.

Special Event: Breakfast with the DARTS & Time Trials

This annual Saturday event includes breakfast, team photos, swimmer time trials, and a practice dive meet. Multiple volunteer opportunities are available—sign up through the Google spreadsheet.
